The history of advertising counts as many centuries as the earth and human population. Advertising ha always existed. The only thing that changed is its form. Evidence of advertising has been found as early as Ancient Egyptian times. It can be incredibly useful to examine the historical methods that vendors and businesses used to advertise their products and services. Traditional advertising methods are still used today. In fact, they have a great influence on the concepts used in modern advertising techniques.
Nobody knows when groups of merchants first started using advertising to differentiate themselves. What is certain is that the first forms of advertising were verbal. Sellers screamed in ancient markets to advertise their goods and services. After a while, they started using textual ques as well. Such as carving on the bones, wood, animal skin and much later, paper. With the creation of the printing machine and the emergence of printing press advertising became even more popular. The fact that the world, and in particular, Europe at that time was busy exploring and discovering new trade destinations added fuel to the fire.
The history of advertising counts two major revolutions. One was the creation of the printing press. Another, was the digital revolution of the modern times. The industrial revolution brought us TV and radio. While the digital revolution not only improved the advertising techniques used in the radio and television, but added various other forms of ads. Such as social media and Google ads. Now is the Golden period of advertising.
Work smart, not hard - that’s a motto I’ve lived with my whole life. I have always been motivated to do so, and believe everyone should follow the same philosophy. My passion for learning has always been intense, even though I never joined a University. It never even crossed my mind. I believe anyone can be self-taught if determined, given the right resources. The internet was my source of education. Over time, I taught myself everything I needed to know online; and decided to create the same opportunity for others. I've always loved a challenge, and starting this website was my way of challenging myself.
